Vision Robotics believes that vision is the best sensor for use with robots because of low cost and richness of the sensors. The vision system can be coupled with GPS, radar and other sensors to improve performance based on a specific robots needs.

Vision systems cannot see in the dark. However, our headlights may be added to the robots. Since CMOS cameras can see effectively using IR headlights, so they can work effectively in what humans consider dark. Radar, GPS and good mechanical design would improve performance in inclement weather.
