Company History April 2000 - Bret Wallach develops initial technology, recruits core development team and incorporates Personal Robotics, Inc (PRI). July 2001 - Personal Robotics, Inc. enters into strategic alliance with Royal Manufacturing to develop an autonomous vacuum cleaner. October 2001 - Prominent European vacuum cleaner manufacturer joins partnership with PRI and Royal Manufacturing. December 2001 - Personal Robotics, Inc. closes first $1M financing round. May 2002 - PRI engineers demonstrate first working concept. May 2002 - PRI forms strategic alliance with Korvan Industries to develop a fruit harvesting application. December 2002 - Strategic partners commit $1M+ to vacuum program. July 2003 - Personal Robotics, Inc. changes name to Vision Robotics Corporation. December 2003 - Working vacuum demonstrated to partners in Europe. January 2004 - VRC receives initial contract for robot harvester feasibility analysis and simulation. April 2004 - Successful full prototype vacuum cleaner demonstration |
